Oaklands is an excellent special school based in Isleworth and serving the London Borough of Hounslow. Oaklands pupils have severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. 

This is an exciting time for Oaklands School which is expanding rapidly.Oaklands School is moving into a new building in September 2018. Our new building includes fantastic facilities for delivering the music curriculum including a recording studio and performance space.  

We are currently seeking to appoint a part time teacher on a 0.6 FTE contract to teach music to our students.  If you are willing to teach other subjects in addition to music, a full time contract could be considered. 

We wish to appoint a highly skilled music teacher with the skills and ambition to develop our music curriculum so that our new facilities are fully utilised so that our students can reach their potential to perform and enjoy music.

Oaklands is an excellent special school serving the London Borough of Hounslow. We provide specialist education to students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. We have a Primary school (New Oaks), Secondary school (High Oaks) and a specialist independent SEN College provision (Great Oaks). We can cater for students aged from 4 to 25 across the Oaklands group.

Oaklands is at an exciting point in its development; we are currently working towards expansion and full school relocation to a purpose built new school in Hounslow for September 2018. The schools will be based on two sites and will consist of a new primary school (New Oaks) opening in September 2019, along with the current secondary school (High Oaks) and an independent post 19 college (Great Oaks) opening September 2018.

Upon completing their apprenticeship, our staff can progress onto LSA or TA roles.  

We offer teacher training sponsorship and are currently sponsoring 4 of our TA’s through teacher training, 3 of whom started their career at Oaklands on our teaching assistant apprenticeship.  

We would like to offer work experience placements to students interested in pursuing a career in special education and are always keen to hear from those wanting to volunteer in our school.
