Music Teacher

The Royal Grammar School Guildford in Qatar (RGSGQ) opened in September 2016 with the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. Based on the same principles as RGS Guildford, UK, RGSGQ has quickly gained a reputation for providing outstanding education and enrolment has increased across the school. RGSGQ currently educates girls and boys from Nursery to Year 11 on an attractive campus 10 minutes’ drive north of central Doha. Having established an excellent team of staff and outstanding facilities the school will open Year 10 in August 2020. 

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, passionate and motivated Music Teacher to join our growing team of outstanding educators at RGSGQ. This position could be a Head of Music role for the right candidate. 

In addition to being a capable all-round musician, responsibilities will also include running music clubs, leading Early Years and Key Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4 choirs, assisting with assemblies, and co-ordinating school productions. 

The successful candidate will be able to deliver Music to pupils aged 3 – 15 in a creative way in order to encourage a love of music. Knowledge and experience of delivering the GCSE curriculum is essential and experience working with pupils for whom English is an additional language would be beneficial.
