The successful applicant will:

 

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

We are seeking a qualified MUSIC teacher who has experience in teaching to primary students from Prep to Year 6. MUSIC is a valued leaning area of both schools' curriculum. The teacher will have appropriate teaching qualifications and music experience, effective communication skills, and an ability to work in partnership with colleagues and students to deliver the Australian Music Curriculum in a innovative and creative way.

St Sebastian's School is situated in the inner city suburb of Yeronga.  We are a small Catholic primary school with approximately 200 students.
Mary Immaculate school at Annerley is a one stream, co-educational primary school with an enrolment of approximately 125 students.

Both schools value a supportive, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment that caters for the uniqueness of each individual and their ability to engage and be successful in their learning. Some classes may consist of multi-age groupings.

Employment Tenure:   Part Time (Term Time) + Fixed Term

Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"):  12 weeks; 14 Hours across both schools. Days may be negoitable.

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019 


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
