Position Objective

Reporting to the Headmaster or his designate, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) Coordinator is responsible for leading the overall implementation and development of the Middle Years Programme in Years 7 to 11 at Malvern College Hong Kong, and supporting curriculum articulation for the whole school. The Coordinator will have a primary role in supporting the school’s IB authorization and evaluation processes.

The MYP Coordinator is a member of the pedagogical leadership team and works closely and collaboratively with all members of the secondary team, school leaders, and other programme coordinators to establish a school MYP structure. The Coordinator will also facilitate vertical articulation; provide support to teachers and students; create and maintain school-based training opportunities, programme monitoring and regulation compliance; ensure resource management; and identify and address MYP professional development needs of the teachers.

Together with the School Leadership Team and other coordinators, the MYP Coordinator will also have an important role in student management and welfare.

About Malvern College Hong Kong

Malvern College Hong Kong (MCHK) opened its doors to its first pupils in August 2018. This co-educational day school caters largely for international pupils, reflecting the truly multicultural nature of this vibrant city. Malvern College Hong Kong currently has 950 pupils in Prep 1 - Upper Sixth Form (Years 1-13) and will grow year on year to reach a capacity of around 1100 pupils in Years 1-13.
