About Northfields International School

From its small beginnings in 2001 with just 9 students, Northfields has grown to more than 600 students today providing an English medium education for children aged between 18 months and 18 years.

Northfields is well known for its traditional values, family atmosphere and sustained emphasis on the holistic development of each pupil. Excellence and leadership skills are fostered through their rigorous programme of academic study combined with dynamic and varied extra-curricular activities and service as action programmes.

Apart from being an authorised IB World School since December 2006, the quality of the school is further bolstered through the school’s membership with the Council of International Schools (CIS). The CIS is a global non-profit membership organisation working collaboratively for the improvement of international education.

The School offers internationally recognised educational programmes and qualifications for Montessori, Cambridge and IB. Presently, the curriculum progression in the school begins with Montessori methods following English and Cambridge curriculum guidelines from Pre-Nursery through Year 4.

Then Years 5 and 6 serve as transition years to the High School, where students follow the 5-year IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Years 7-11, with provision for students to sit Cambridge IGCSE examinations at the end of Year 11.  Students in Sixth Form then follow the 2-year IB Diploma Programme (DP).
