Wilton CE Primary is seeking to appoint a motivated, committed and enthusiastic Named Pupil Teaching Assistant. We are looking for a team player, who is flexible and positive at all times. It would be an advantage if you were already familiar with the primary school curriculum and experience of working with children with specific additional needs would be an advantage. But… most of all we are seeking to appoint someone who understands how to create the magic that engages our children as they journey through their education at our school.

Applicants should be educated to GCSE level in English and Maths.

The position involves supporting:

  • the inclusion of a child with SEND in a mainstream classroom
  • the children’s development of play and social skills during break 
  • children’s development of language skills
  • behavioural development
  • the class teachers and the school in achieving its vision 
  • the school’s values of courage, kindness, love, perseverance and respect.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is caring, inspirational and passionate about making learning fun indoors and outdoors
  • is self-motivated, reliable and has a good sense of humour
  • can make a contribution to the wider school community
  • has a knowledge of additional needs, including autism 
  • will embrace the school’s values
