N.B. This is a National English Teacher position which will be full time, based at one of our UK campuses closest to you.

Aligned with national curriculum, our students who are supported by teachers to take ownership of their learning as part of our Self-Directed Learning pedagogy. We are looking for conscientious and hard-working individuals who are passionate about education and pay meticulous attention to detail. 

We have a fantastic opportunity at one of our UK campuses for an experienced and interactive National  English Teacher on a full time, permanent basis. You will be adept at coaching our students to see and lead through challenges in their learning, so they make the best possible progress in each and every lesson.


Key responsibilities:

  • To ensure documented lesson plans are delivered to meet the outcomes as set out in the relevant OneSchool Global UK English Language and Literature curriculum and the relevant GCSE Examination  board specifications
  • To plan, implement and monitor schemes of work, lesson plans and student Self-Directed Learning assignments for English 
  • To ensure the Self-Directed Learning philosophy of the school is present in the opportunities presented to the students 
  • To develop and fully utilise  assignments and tasks centre on the school virtual learning environment (Canvas) including homework, quizzes and discussion forums 
  • Use a wide range of resources and extracurricular activities to provide students with a broad range of activities and experiences in keeping with the School's guidelines 
  • To set targets based on prior attainments, and undertake effective, informative marking which will extend and develop all students 
  • Develop and maintain links with students, parents, colleagues, line manager, Campus Principal and OSGUK subject curriculum leader 


You will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher status and a degree or a similar English related qualification 
  • Possess recent experience of teaching English to students in KS3-KS4
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum for GCSE English including Exam specifications 
  • Possess a good understanding of SEND procedures 
  • Have a diverse set of skills which will enable you to be flexible working in the classroom for both theory and practical sessions, as well as in our modern learning centre 
  • Be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn
  • Respect and promote the schools Ethos and Values
