Achieving high standards in behaviour and attendance is a priority focus of our school improvement strategy and as the National Leader for Behaviour and Attendance you will deliver on AET’s priorities to improve attendance, reduce persistent absence, improve the quality of behaviour and reduce overall levels of exclusion across the Trust.
At AET we recognise that promoting regular attendance and positive behaviour make a vital contribution to pupil achievement and school improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating our strategy for behaviour and attendance and through this support staff across all AET primary, secondary and special academies to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding in supporting positive behaviour and regular attendance to improve performance outcomes across the Trust.
To be a success in this important role for AET you will possess outstanding leadership skills, demonstrate success in leading change across a large complex organisation and be able to scale effective practice across our academies nationally. You will establish highly effective working relationships with Principals, Headteachers and senior leaders in all academies across the group, offering strong support, advice and challenge to secure the highest standards of behaviour and attendance. With this, you’ll help us achieve our ambitions of enabling all our students to lead remarkable lives.
Academies Enterprise Trust is a national network of over 60 primary, secondary and special academies. Under new leadership, with an entirely new executive team and new Trust Board members, AET is now a radically different organisation. School improvement, governance and finance have been overhauled as part of a trust-wide programme to reform and renew AET and, as such, this is an exciting time to join the organisation.

This position is a full time, permanent position but secondments are encourage and will be actively considered and supported. The role is required to commence as soon as possible.
