Inspire the Next Generation of Creatives
Are you a passionate creative or screen practitioner ready to share your skills with the next generation of filmmakers, editors, presenters, and digital storytellers?
We’re looking for a Casual Tutor to lead our National Saturday Club: Film & Screen programme, delivered at Global Academy (and an additional course in a South London location).
The National Saturday Club gives 13–16-year-olds across the UK a chance to explore creative industries outside the school curriculum — building confidence, skills, and futures. You’ll play a leading role in planning and delivering inspiring weekend sessions, guiding young people through hands-on projects, trips, and exciting national showcases.
What You’ll Be Doing
🎬 Deliver weekly creative sessions focused on Film & Screen skills
🧠 Plan and tailor workshops that engage, challenge and inspire
🌆 Lead student visits, including a trip to London and a national Summer Show
🤝 Collaborate with industry guests, creative professionals, and education teams
📋 Complete essential admin, risk assessments, registers, and compliance
🛡️ Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behaviour in every session
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
✔ Experience in the creative media sector — especially film, audio, video, content, or broadcast
✔ Confident working with young people (aged 12–16) in an educational or workshop setting
✔ Strong communication and group management skills
✔ Passion for creative education and real-world learning
✔ First Aid trained (or willing to train)
Desirable:
🎓 Teaching experience (FE, youth arts, outreach, or schools)
🖥️ Skilled in software and platforms used in content creation
🚀 Experience of working with underrepresented groups or in inclusive creative spaces
