Netball Coach (Self Employed)

Colston's SchoolBristol

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving, co-educational independent day school on the outskirts of Bristol. We are looking for a Netball Coach (self-employed), able to plan and lead netball coaching, umpire matches and join a popular and successful department, contributing to the wider life of this busy holistic school community.

The Netball Coach is required as a temporary arrangement, starting from January 2022 until the end of March 2022, with availability weekday afternoons Monday to Thursday, and ideally some Tuesday and Friday mornings.

The successful candidate will have significant netball experience with young people and will also be an excellent communicator, who can enthuse and inspire pupils in their sports development.

In the first instance please send expressions of interest and a CV.

To discuss the requirements of this appointment further, please email Mr E Beavington, Assistant Head (Co-Curricular) at: ebeavington@colstons.bristol.sch.uk

Closing date for applications: 12pm on Friday 3rd December 2021, but early expressions of interest are encouraged.

Colston’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The safeguarding responsibilities of the post include:

- To promote the safeguarding and welfare of children and young persons for whom they are responsible or come into contact with;

- To be supportive of and committed to the School’s policies on Child Protection;

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
