Job overview
We are seeking a Netball coach to deliver sessions and games lessons throughout the Autumn term. You will promote wide participation and elite level netball at the school, fostering a love of Netball which will stay with our pupils long after they leave school.
The successful candidate will have experience of coaching netball to level two or above, combined with excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
Autumn hours are as follows:
Netball preseason dates:
- 31st August 9.00am-11.00am
- 1st September 9.00am-11.00am
Term time hours:
- Monday 2.00 pm- 5.00 pm
- Tuesday 2.00 pm- 5.00 pm
- Wednesday 2.00 pm- 5.00 pm
- Friday 2.00 pm - 5.00 pm
- Saturday 8.00 am-12.00 pm
Emanuel School Autumn 2021 term dates are:
- 3rd September-11th December.
- Half term school holiday 16th-31st October.
Some additional hours may be required as agreed with the Head of Netball or the Director of Sport from time to time. Additional commitments out of term time would be agreed separately.

Welcome to Emanuel. We are a fully co-ed school of over 1000 pupils, aged 10-18, with over 200 teaching and support staff colleagues.
We are an ambitious community. This summer, 87% of grades at GCSE were awarded 9-7, which is a lift of 37% across recent years. Our A Level A*-A percentage is 53%. This is 20% higher than in 2018 and the school is now recognised as one of the best for academic outcomes in the country. The recent ISI Inspection report noted that: “Pupils make excellent progress across the range of subjects and significant value is added to their academic outcomes.”
We are committed to developing all our major sports and value pupil participation as well as team and individual achievement. The school’s critical build plan will see a significant investment in our on and off-site sports facilities across the next 3-4 years. The same site plan will support the outstanding creative and performing arts teaching at the school, as the school’s plans for a large specialist science teaching block will also allow us to improve our facilities for music and drama, both areas of traditional strength. We were delighted that these areas were recognised in last year’s Independent School of the Year Awards when we won the award for our performing arts.
Beyond the classroom, we have a thriving partnerships programme, helping to develop our pupils at all ages as they participate in this work, and benefiting the local community, with over 1000 primary school children coming to use our site and work with our pupils each month. In 2021 we won the Independent School of the Year Award for our community outreach work.
