Network Manager - part time

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Network Manager who will be actively involved in the management and strategic development of the school’s ICT infrastructure. 

The role is part-time and permanent, 20 hours per week Monday to Friday, covering 52 weeks per year.   

We are well resourced and ICT facilities are good throughout the school. We are currently in discussion over a 4 year plan of improvements and replacements. We have Windows computers and servers, MacOS computers, Chromebooks, and iPads available to all pupils and staff.  

Reporting to the Head you will be responsible for ensuring all users have access to a reliable, fast and secure network to promote effective teaching, learning and administration, as well as for the provision, maintenance and administration of the wired and wireless wide area network throughout the school, together with the associated hardware, software, peripherals and cabling. Ideally we are seeking an individual who is a strategic thinker with excellent communication and management skills, with a proven track record in a similar role, although school experience is not essential. You will have extensive iPad and iOS, OS X, and Windows Server OS experience.
