We are offering an opportunity for a non-maths specialist with a keen interest in the subject to enhance their teaching profile. As part of a fixed-term contract until May 31st, we are looking for an inspirational teacher who believes in inspiring children to develop a love for learning in maths. Along with the support offered by the school for teacher development, we will provide the successful candidate with subject enhancement knowledge to support them in teaching mathematics and boost their skillset.
The successful applicant will be an excellent practitioner who is committed to meeting the needs of all pupils by ensuring that teaching is of the highest quality and is innovative, engaging and enjoyable. In 2016 the percentage of pupils achieving A*- C GCSE grades within Mathematics was 83%. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, passionate and have excellent subject knowledge.
Hollingworth Academy is an oversubscribed 11-16 comprehensive situated off the M62/M60 in the town of Milnrow, Rochdale. In 2008 an Ofsted Inspection graded Hollingworth as ‘Outstanding’ and since that report academic standards have risen still further.
