NEWLY QUALIFIED TEACHER OF GEOGRAPHY
Finham Park School is the Lead School in the recently established Finham Park Multi Academy Trust. Primary and secondary schools in Finham Park MAT will set out to pioneer, innovate and deliver a “World Class” education for all.
Finham Park School was judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in 2015, for the second time. It is a Specialist College in Mathematics & Computing, a National Support School, and Leading Edge School. It is highly over-subscribed with a Sixth Form of over 300 students. We have recently been accredited to the World Class Schools Organisation – endorsing that Finham Park is a place where all our students develop a love of “learning for life”.
The successful candidate will join an established Humanities Faculty, where our teachers are committed to delivering a high quality, lively and interesting curriculum to challenge and inspire all of our students. Geography is a popular and growing subject at the school, with creative and engaging lessons where field work is highly supported, with GCSE and A Level results higher than the national average. As a training school and experienced department we offer a thorough mentoring programme for NQTs including reduced contact time and a dedicated mentor who will meet with you regularly to offer guidance on marking and planning. In addition, as a lead school in a Multi Academy Trust, we are well versed in showcasing outstanding teaching and offering CPD, both within the school and across our other schools.
The Governors are seeking to appoint an innovative and highly motivated newly qualified teacher of Geography to join a strong and enthusiastic team of teachers who are committed to delivering a high quality, lively, interesting, and mathematically rich curriculum to challenge and inspire all our students. The successful candidates will be required to teach Geography to Key Stages 3 and 4. There is also the possibility of teaching to Advanced Level.

Finham Park is a popular and successful 11 -18 comprehensive school situated in the south west of Coventry. It has an excellent reputation within the local community as well as nationally and internationally. The school was re-accredited as a World Class School in July 2018.
