Crieff Primary School would welcome applications from experienced and enthusiastic teachers who have a genuine interest in taking forward current developments in early level/early learning and childcare, with a strong focus on raising attainment and achievement for all children. 

You will show a passionate commitment to working with families and communities and exhibit skills in building relationships with staff and a range of other agencies. You will be required to provide effective support and challenge within the nursery linked to improvement, quality assurance and self-evaluation processes with an early years focus.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

This Nursery Teacher post will require you to:

Develop strong, open and productive relationships by meeting regularly with practitioners and management within the setting.

Support and challenge pedagogical aspect of Early Level provision.

Provide support to deliver high quality learning environments and experiences and support practitioners to develop their role as pedagogical leaders.

Support curriculum balance and entitlements, helping staff towards a consistent focus on literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing through a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Provide advice and support on creating and developing inclusive and nurturing approaches, including ASN.

Where required, use modelling or teaching as a support to professional learning for staff and act as a model of good practice.

Sign-post staff to other improvement opportunities such as professional learning activities, sources of advice and key documentation.

Provide support in the process of planning and assessment and to monitor, evaluate and record children's progress.

Work with staff to support pre and post inspection processes.

Engage in professional learning and keep up to date with new and innovative practices.
