Job overview

Aldar Academies are looking to appoint and experience and high performing Nursery Lead Teacher commencing in January 2018. The successful candidate will be delivering first class quality education and childcare for young children age 2-4 years, ensuring that children are comfortable, safe and having fun learning in their environment. You will be under direction of the nursery manage, work with other, including Assistant Teachers, to plan and coordinate daily class activates within the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Motivating and stimulating children's learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience
  • Providing pastoral care and support to children and providing them with a secure environment to learn
  • Developing and producing visual aids and teaching resources
  • Organising learning materials and resources and making imaginative use of resources
  • Assisting with the development of children's personal, social and language abilities
  • Supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech and communication
  • Encouraging children's mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative play
  • Developing children's curiosity and knowledge;
  • Communicating to the nursery manager any learning area / classroom supplies that need to be replenished or replaced.

Requirements:

  • BA Degree or above in Early Childhood Education or child development related subject
  • Valid certificate in paediatric first aid
  • Minimum 2 years’ postgraduate teaching experience in Early Childhood Education
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum of England
  • A sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and an understanding of Health and Safety
  • Experience working in Education settings
  • Understanding of the role of the “Key Person”
  • Experience of Leading and supporting staff teams to improve practice
  • Experience of financial management and budget planning
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check (for applicants who have never worked in UK) and no question regarding suitability to work with children
