We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Learning Assistant to work effectively as part of a large Foundation One Team to ensure that our pupils get off to the best possible start.

The Nottingham Academy, the flagship academy in the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) is one of the largest academies in the United Kingdom. It is one of only a handful of all-through 3-19 schools in the country with its own nursery, primary, secondary and sixth form provision. The most recent Ofsted in November 2015 judged the academy as continuing to be ‘Good’ and commented particularly on the quality of teaching and the progress that pupils make in the Primary phase

As a successful candidate you be joining the Phase One team where staff help children’s learning through planned play and through extending and developing their spontaneous play. You will also help plan engagement and ensure consistent levels of provision as well as providing support to the Teacher across a range of child centred activities to promote child development and learning.

We require a skilled, experienced and committed Nursery Learning Assistant who:

  • is able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies and teaching skills
  • is well organised and has high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • possesses excellent communication skills, at all levels

Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous.
