Nursery Manager

We are Akeley Wood: a bold, contemporary and creative school with a rich heritage, celebrating independence and nurturing well-rounded and compassionate young people with a lifelong love of learning. Based in three beautiful settings across the Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire border, we cater for pupils from 1-18 years.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated and energetic Nursery Manager to work with our Head of Nursery and Head of Admissions to deliver excellent nursery services.

Using your natural team working and excellent organisational skills, you will be responsible for leading our newly refurbished nursery provision, ensuring the children benefit from a superior early years’ experience whilst balancing and managing occupancy levels. You will line manage the Head of Nursery and together deliver high quality, safe, stimulating and a child centred environment. Key to success will be your ability to manage the admission of new children into our nursery through pro-active enquiry handling, arranging visits and tasters using effective follow-up procedures by phone, email and visits.

A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the School is essential.
