Values and vision
Argyle House School has consistently sought to provide the breadth and facilities of a large school, while maintaining smaller class sizes. Teachers maintain a pupil-centred approach to education, with a strong belief that the curriculum and teaching must be fun and engaging, in order to encourage children to work hard and be independent and creative.
The relationship between pupils and teachers is considered crucially important to children's education, in order to help them explore and grow as learners.
ISI report
“Pupils’ achievements and attitudes to learning are excellent throughout the school, including in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Pupils are given a wide range of opportunities to develop their knowledge, understanding and skill, both in the excellent curriculum, which is flexible and appropriate for all pupils in the school, and in extra-curricular activities.”
