Westfield Nursery is a high performing nursery owned and run by Queen Mary University of London for the children of students, staff and some from the local community. It offers 65 full time child places each day in five age based rooms and has a strong reputation for quality and best practice.

We are looking for a professional and experienced Nursery Manager to provide high quality care and education for our children. Our purpose built nursery needs an enthusiastic individual to help our dedicated staff team in maintaining an atmosphere that nurtures children under five.

The successful candidate must have Level 4 or above or equivalent in an Early Years related subject, experience in a managerial role, experience of effective, comprehensive record keeping, an understanding of health & safety legislation and it’s practical implementation in an early years setting and an understanding of safeguarding children, special educational needs and equal opportunities legislation and how they must be put into everyday practice. We need someone who is passionate and innovative in their approach and experienced in tracking children’s progress. We rigorously safeguard children and all applicants will need to be cleared by the 'Disclosure and Barring Service’ and checked for their before working with children.

The post is full time (35 hrs.) and permanent; with a salary within the range of £36,064 - £42,431 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, and the opportunity to join the University Pension scheme.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
