Hallfield School is a flourishing co-educational independent day school (3 months –13 years) in the leafy and attractive outskirts of Edgbaston. We are looking to appoint an experienced Nursery Nurse, who is confident, friendly and enthusiastic.  Hallfieldfirst offers parents year-round nursery provision for children aged 3 months to 3 years and forms part of Hallfield School.

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the EYFS and a strong passion for a child centred approach to play and learning. They will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of exciting and enriching play and learning opportunities, and will display an inspirational approach to children’s development.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hrs a week (Monday – Friday on a rota of early/mid and late shifts between the hours of 07:30 and 18:15).  It is a full working year position.

The successful candidate will need to provide evidence of the following:

• Experience of working with children aged 4 years and under in a child care setting in a similar position

• Knowledge of EYFS learning, development and welfare and safeguarding requirements

• A childcare related qualification (minimum Level 3 NVQ)

• Experience of recording observations and supporting others in planning for children’s learning in EYFS

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience and an understanding of the value of working in partnership with parents
