The Role: 

We are currently recruiting for fully qualified, experienced Level 3 Nursery Nurses, to join our Nursery. 

Hallfield first offers parents year-round nursery provision for children aged 3 months to 3 years and forms part of Hallfield School, a flourishing co-educational independent day school (3 months –13 years) in the leafy and attractive outskirts of Edgbaston. 

Successful candidates will have previous experience of working with children, or a demonstrable desire to gain experience within a childcare setting. You will have excellent communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to work. A strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning is essential as you will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of exciting and enriching play and learning opportunities. Qualified applicants must have an excellent understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child protection and an inspirational approach to children’s development. 

The key responsibilities of a Nursery Nurse include, but are not limited to: 

  • Support the Nursery Managers and Room Leader in the planning and delivery of exciting and enriching play and learning opportunities.
  • Support the Room Leader with observational records of the children.
  • Support the establishment of secure attachment for your key children.
  • Be responsible for the care routines of the children in your group as directed by the Room Leader.
  • Actively support a two-way flow of information between the nursery and parents/carers of the children.
  • Work in collaboration with all professionals who might be supporting children in your group.
  • Support the smooth transitions between settings of the children in your group. 

Working Arrangements: : Full-time positions, (40 hours per week), all year round. Part-time hours will be considered. Shifts (early/mid/late) between 07:30am and 06:15pm

Hallfield School is a flourishing co-educational Prep School, renowned for the quality of its extended curriculum and excellent academic reputation.
