The Role

Vision For Education are searching for a superstar nursery practitioner who is highly motivated, and passionate to join our brand new nursery in Orpington. This a family-based company with the welfare and interests of the children at the centre of their practice and ethos. Their passion is to ensure each child reaches their full potential within a loving, nurturing, safe and stimulating nursery environment.

• The nursery practitioner will play, motivate, have fun and inspire the children. The nursery believe that these are some of the most important skills as a childcare practitioner.

• They use an Online Learning Journal system to record the children's care routines and daily development. This takes the time away from paperwork and gives you back the time with the children!

• Helping to create fun, filled days for the children, and yourselves with a range of wonderful activities. 

• Working together as a part of a special team and spending money on resources- nursery practitioners are able to take part ownership of the room and create some fantastic days together!


The Nursery

This is an independent nursery for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Babies (from 3 months) benefit from a bright and airy room.  The room is split into 2 areas; a messy play area where each baby is encouraged to develop through creative and sensory activities and the main play room. They operate a 1:3 ratio in the Baby Room.

The Tweenies Room is designed to help Tweenies to start learning how to become independent. It is full of sensory toys, texture and plenty of new opportunities for the Tweenies to engage and explore! They operate a 1:3 ratio in the Tweenies Room for children aged under 2 years and a 1:4 ratio for those aged 2 and over.

Toddlers enjoy activities structured around their changing interests. They operate a 1:4 ratio in the Toddler Room. 

The pre-school is a large bright and spacious area and has 2 base rooms, each with a creative area for messy play, a home corner, a reading corner, computers and a free play space. They operate a 1:8 ratio in the Pre-school room.


Requirements 

• Minimum Level 2/3 Early Years Childcare qualification

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal

• Knowledge of child protection and safe guarding procedures

• Experience of the EYFS and using it within a nursery setting

• Enthusiastic, passionate and full of ideas to encourage learning and development
