Falkner House Nursery is looking for a passionate Early Years Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons while successfully nurturing and inspiring our students. As part of our energetic and welcoming team, you will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success while maintaining a healthy learning environment for all children within the school.
Level 3 or above Childcare qualifications are required.
As an Early Years Teacher, you will help the team to provide quality education and care for children from 2 to 4 years old, developing partnerships with parents and carers and acting as a key person to a group of children.
Key responsibilities are:
- Planning and providing a caring and stimulating environment for the children.
- Observing and assessing children’s development and keeping accurate records.
- Working as part of a team.
- Encouraging learning and development, through play and teaching.
- Creating a secure environment, using imagination to help children to learn.
- Working with parents to support their children.
- Enabling children to build their literacy, language and numeracy skills.
- Monitoring progress and planning educational games.
- Putting together activities which will keep the children engaged throughout the day.
- Helping children get ready for the transition into a classroom environment.
- Helping children to become more independent when carrying out daily tasks.
- Creating the right balance between activities and play time.
The successful candidate would have the following:
- Level 3 qualification or above in Childcare or equivalent.
- Understanding of the issues surrounding the safeguarding of children and commitment to child welfare and safety.
