The Preparatory School requires an outstanding Teaching Assistant for our Pre-Prep/Nursery Department. The role would suit a candidate who is creative, has a passion for education and understands how young children learn best. The ideal candidate will have proven school experience and the equivalent of an NVQ Level 2 or 3. Visits to the school are welcome by prior appointment. St Teresa’s is committed to safeguarding pupils. There will be an enhanced DBS check prior to appointment. St Teresa’s Preparatory School is situated on-site with the Senior School under the leadership of its own Head. There are approximately 150 pupils on role with two form entry from Year 3 through to Year 6. We are a friendly, dynamic school with well-behaved girls, supportive parents and a nurturing, forward thinking SLT.
The School offers a rich and varied curriculum aiming for academic excellence at all times. We believe that children excel academically when they are inspired to learn so our curriculum is delivered through a range of exciting and engaging topics built upon a progressive ladder of skills.
St Teresa's Prep School is two form entry at Year 3. Classes are Differentiated lessons, and setting in Mathematics from Year 3, ensure that our girls are appropriately challenged and given the best opportunity to make excellent progress. In addition our curriculum is enhanced by specialist teachers in French/Spanish, Art, Music, Drama, Swimming, PE, Science (Years 5 and 6) and Latin (Year 6). The children excel because of the teachers' expert knowledge and passion for their subject.
A wide range of of extra-curricular activities are available so that our girls can discover their gifts and talents.
The school was judged to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas in its most recent ISI report and ‘Outstanding’ in all areas in its diocesan inspection report.
