Location:  The Link School – Satellite Site, Wallington, SM6 9JN

Working Pattern: 3 days per week, term time only

The Link School is an outstanding special school located in the London Borough of Sutton and provides specialist teaching and therapy for up to 148 pupils aged 4 to 18 whose primary need is speech, language and communication. Some pupils have additional learning or sensory integration needs and a large percentage of pupils have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

The School provides a warm, safe, friendly and nurturing environment, which helps pupils to learn, express their ideas, communicate, develop friendships and grow in confidence and self- esteem.

The post holder will join an established team of Occupational Therapists, who are jointly responsible for providing a therapy service to the school. The team works in partnership with teachers and support staff in our child centred classrooms.

We require an Occupational Therapist to work for three days with our pathway 4 learning group, which is specifically for children and young people with Autism and Pathological Demand Avoidance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an established service for children with emotional health and social communication needs. This role will suit candidate who is a confident child centred practitioner but is seeking an additional challenge or string to their bow.
