Rugeley School is an independent residential school for children with Autism from the age of 5-19 years. Our school, which opened in May 2000, stands at the forefront in the education of children with Autism.
Rugeley School is currently recruiting for a fully qualified Occupational Therapist to offer a variety of therapeutic approaches to our students. The role is based at Rugeley School but you will offer support to the residential homes when necessary.
- Implement individual sensory diets and disseminate this information to the teaching team for them to deliver.
- Preparing reports, attending and contributing to multi-disciplinary meetings.
- The successful person will undertake training in sensory integration.
- This is a term time working role.
- Autism can present very challenging behaviours and staff must have the confidence and emotional resilience to deal with these.

Due to the nature of our location(s) being a driver and having access to a car would be beneficial.

References provided must cover the last 3 years, for all of our services we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults. Please be advised that references will be requested prior to interview for all roles within our schools.
