Job overview

The  Samworth Church academy are looking to recruit an Off Site Tutor to work at our alternative provision center for students with social emotional behavioral difficulties and social emotional mental health difficulties.

We require a highly talented tutor who may have had previous involvement of working within a pupil referral unit, residential setting or alternative provision. We are seeking a candidate with drive and innovation as we strive to enable all our students to 'be the best they can be'.

Your role will be to support the team at our center delivering alternative education packages which focus on academic intervention as well as pastoral care, behavioral support and delivery of emotional health and well-being sessions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to contribute to shaping the future of the students who attend our 'Off-Site' provision.  We need candidates who have high expectations and can deliver high quality outcomes for our students always with the aim of reintegration back into mainstream education.   

The Samworth Church Academy opened in September 2008 and enjoys 21st century facilities, highly motivated and professionally developed staffing which allows us to focus on our fantastic students with a mission to be 'the best we can be'.  As a 'Good' school we are improving rapidly which has been recognised in our most recent OfSTED inspection (May 2018).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible person who can make a big impact in a busy school environment.

Applicants should be educated to A Level/Level 3 standards and hold GCSE English and Maths to Grade C or above.
