37.5 hours per week minimum (term time plus 3 weeks)

We are seeking to appoint an Office Manager to run our busy school office and to support the Deputy Headteacher. The successful candidate will be an efficient, organised and experienced administrator with the ability to maintain accurate student records. This role also involves line management of the office admin staff so experience of managing people would be useful. The candidate will need to hold a First Aid certificate or be willing to undertake training.

The successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to all stakeholders. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an office environment is essential. Experience of working in a school in a support role and knowledge of and ability to produce basic reports from SIMS or other database would be desirable.

Coombe Boys’ is a popular and highly successful non-selective 11 – 18 school that is federated with its partner girls’ school to comprise the Coombe Secondary Schools Academy Trust, based in New Malden, Surrey. Coombe Boys’ has approximately 800 students on roll, including a mixed sixth form.

Coombe Boys’ School is a comprehensive secondary school offering a broad and balanced curriculum to local boys aged 11-16. We also have a mixed sixth form run in close collaboration with Coombe Girls’ School.  There are currently 973 students on the school roll, of which 103 are in the sixth form.  The school has held academy status since 2012, as part of the Coombe Academy Trust (CAT) which also incorporates Coombe Girls’ School, Knollmead Primary School, Green Lane Primary & Nursery School, and Robin Hood Primary & Nursery School.  The school is based in New Malden close to the A3 and with Motspur Park station within 8 minutes walking distance.
