Bacon’s College was established in the Surrey Docks peninsula in Rotherhithe, South East London in 1991 as a City Technology College, becoming an academy in 2007 and joined the United Learning Trust in 2018. Bacon’s has long been an important part of the fabric of the local community in south east London and has served the community in its various forms for over three hundred years. We are proud of that history and contribution and of the way the College has evolved and adapted to meet the needs of its young people.

This is an exciting new support role that will play an essential part in ensuring the smooth running of the office function within Bacons College. The role will support the Executive Business Manager with the efficient management of the school administration, will be responsible for the admissions process as well as the effective management of all pupil personal data on the MIS system, the running of the pupil census and maintenance of pupil files. The role incorporates a PA service to the Principal and will include the responsibility of managing the Principal’s diary, managing events and meetings as required as well as letter writing and other admin as necessary. General office management will include the oversight of the front of house and will ensure a welcoming atmosphere as well as a culture of efficiency.
The successful candidate will have strong experience of schools’ office management and a sound working knowledge of one or more school MIS Systems. A comprehensive understanding of productive administrative work practices is essential along with the ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure despite conflicting deadlines and diversity of workload. A high level of integrity and skill is fundamental to this role as is an ability to interact successfully with students, staff and parents alike. Proven experience of working ethically within the bounds of confidentiality is a must.
