Holy Spirit Early Learning Centre is the second regional Catholic Early Learning Centre for families in the Gungahlin area. It offers a quality preschool education for four-year-olds, catering for children in the year prior to school. The Centre also provides childcare for children before and after preschool hours, opening from 7.30am to 6.00pm. The program is innovative and play-based, catering for the interests of all the children with the curriculum being based on the Early Years Learning Framework.

About the Role

Holy Spirit Learning Centre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Office Manager professional who can provide high quality office management services. The position will provide administrative and finance support to the Early Learning Centre. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of the ELC and with the Principal of Holy Spirit Primary School. 

Essential Criteria

  • An understanding of and commitment to the mission of Catholic Schools and the establishment of authentic relationships within the school community and willingness to participate in the life of the school.
  • A strong financial background including advanced knowledge and experience with a windows based accounting package.
  • Maze experience or similar preferred.
  • Excellent oral (face to face contact and phone skills) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent word processing skills and the ability to use and knowledge of software packages including the latest Word, Excel, Publisher and Outlook.
  • Experience with Qikkids database system.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent knowledge of office management processes including handling and preparation of correspondence, structuring and maintenance of general office and student filing systems and operation of printing/photocopying machines.
  • Ability to use discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information in relation to students, staff and parent/carers within the school community.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to prioritise workloads in a busy school office environment.
