Our school is a vibrant and very busy environment with a staff team which is passionate about their work and children who are a joy to teach, polite and helpful. Governors are seeking a flexible, pro-active, highly motivated Office Manager who will be responsible for the management and efficient running of the school office.  Responsibilities include SIMS administration, management of admin staff and providing effective support to both the Headteacher and Leadership Team.   You will be expected liaise directly with parents, pupils and visitors in a front of house capacity.

Experience of working in a setting with children is essential including knowledge of correct safeguarding procedures.

We would like to hear from highly motivated, well-organised applicants who use their initiative and take pride in their work. We would expect you to maintain very high standards in the appearance of the front office and to enjoy contributing to an excellent working environment for both pupils and staff.  You would work in close conjunction with the School Bursar on aspects of H.R., Payroll and Pensions and play a critical role in the provision of good quality management information for both SLT and governors alike.

The successful candidate will be able to cope with a busy school environment by successfully multi-tasking, but at the same time ensure that attention to detail is not compromised. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the post-holder will be the main member of staff responsible for communicating with all the school’s stakeholders and, as such, spelling and grammar must be to the highest standard. The ability to prioritise and organise oneself, as well as ensuring key processes are documented and recorded, is also critical when faced with a number of different challenges and tasks so that the post-holder works as efficiently as possible.
