Tendring Technology College (TTC) is a community where inspirational teaching, self-evaluation and self-improvement are evident from the moment you enter the College.  We are proud to serve the communities around Frinton-on-Sea and Thorpe-le-Soken as an 11-18 school which has two campuses; Frinton Campus (14-18) and Thorpe Campus (11-14).  Ofsted judged us as a ‘good academy’ in March 2016.

Are you passionate about enabling children of all abilities and backgrounds to achieve their very best?  Are you flexible, organised, meticulous and creative in your approach and have experience of direct work with children and adults, including supporting children who may be vulnerable?  Are you a quick learner and have excellent communication skills?  Do you have the ability to work under your own initiative or as part of a team?  If so, then this could be the job for you!

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed individual to join our dynamic and forward thinking team in a new role as an On Call Support Officer.  Working under the line management of the Head of Campus, in partnership with the learning teams and faculty leaders, you will ensure that the College’s behaviour policy is implemented consistently.  You would also be a proactive role model, promoting positive behaviour based on our shared values of TTC3 and pivotal behaviour strategies.

We encourage visits from prospective candidates to meet members of our school community and to experience out school at first hand.  If you would like to do this please contact Julia McFarlane at the College on 01255 682040.

As  the sponsor, AET believes that all young people deserve to become world-class learners – to learn, enjoy, succeed and thrive in a first rate educational environment with the best facilities, the best teaching and the most up-to-date resources available to them.  In each of our academies, you will benefit from visionary, inspirational and dynamic leadership and be empowered to develop your own skills with access to world-class CPD and Talent Management programmes.  You will also be entitled to a health cash plan, vehicle affinity scheme, childcare vouchers and much more.

This post is required September 2018.

Closing date: Thursday 31 May 2018.

Interviews are scheduled to take place as and when.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response.  All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.

About Tendring Technology College

**Please scroll to the bottom of this page to view our live vacancies**

Tendring Technology College is a large split site comprehensive school for students aged 11-18, located in the pleasant village of Thorpe-le-Soken and the historic town of Frinton-on-Sea. The mix of this rural and coastal location is a lovely backdrop for our young people and at the same time there is easy access to Colchester, the oldest recorded town in the country, and the capital itself, London.

Thorpe Campus is situated in the village of Thorpe-le-Soken. It serves students aged 11-14. Our Frinton Campus serves the needs of students aged 14-19. We take children from a large area surrounding the College. This includes Thorpe-le-Soken, Kirby-le-Soken, Kirby Cross, Great Holland, Little Clacton, Weeley, Tendring, Little Bentley, Wix, Beaumont, Great Oakley, Frinton-on-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze as well as a number of students who travel from much further afield including Harwich, Alresford and Colchester.

Tendring Technology College is an academy and it converted in August 2011. The school was judged to be ‘inadequate’ following an Ofsted inspection in November. The outcome was ‘serious weaknesses’ rather than ‘special measures’ in recognition of the fact that the trust and school leaders were taking the right actions to improve the school and had effective capacity to do so.
