Job overview
The Alban Academies Trust, which incorporates Sandringham School, Verulam School and Ridgeway Academy at secondary level, are looking for qualified teachers to provide tuition to our KS4 students across the Trust on a one-to-one or very small group basis in a range of subjects including - Modern Foreign Languages, Science, Humanities, Maths or English.
The posts will be part time and are very flexible in terms of the number of hours/days worked.
We work in a multi-academy trust to share best practice, deliver joint training, promote the highest of expectations and raise achievement for all students. Our motto is ‘Educational Excellence for Everyone’.

Alban Academies Trust serves primary and secondary schools in and near St. Albans. The Trust currently comprises of five schools, three secondary schools: Ridgeway Academy, Sandringham School and Verulam School and two primary schools: Wheatfields Infants’ and Nursery School and Wheatfields Junior School who joined the Trust on 1st September 2020.

Our NQT package provides an enhanced induction programme for all of Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs). This programme commences at the beginning of July with our 3-week summer induction programme. The induction programme is delivered at home schools as well as jointly, enabling all NQTs to meet their peers within the Trust. Individual support is provided by subject and senior leader mentors and we offer subject specific as well as general training through the Alban Teaching School Alliance (ATSA) and Herts for Learning (HfL) events.
