This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and ambitious professional to make a tangible difference to students but also to our staff. You will work alongside highly effective middle and senior leadership teams to ensure all members of staff are supported by an effective and efficient business support service adding additional capacity to our teams across the academy. You will be a strategic leader who is able to bring out the best in others and lead middle managers to successfully drive improvements in their teams. You will be highly motivated, systems minded and able to put strategy into action. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work with and motivate a wide range of staff, stakeholders and students. You will work with a wide range of people both internally and externally to develop best practice and supportive relationships which enable staff to ensure students realise their full potential. The postholder will take responsibility for financial planning and management, the delivery of effective support services for the school (including administration, estate management, health and safety, catering and technical support), oversee the training and development of support staff and take a lead role in marketing and promoting the school. The successful applicant will be an articulate and influential communicator, have proven management/leadership skills, be educated to degree level or have equivalent, relevant experience, possess excellent numeracy and literacy skills and be in possession of Level 4 Diploma in Schools Business Management qualification (KM) or equivalent qualification or willingness to work towards with support of the school.

The Trust is a multi-academy Co-operative Trust, which came into effect in September 2014 comprising three schools; The East Manchester Academy, a mixed school of nearly 1,000 students in the heart of Manchester’s re-generation area, Whalley Range 11-18 High School, a girls school of 1,500 students and Levenshulme High School, a girls school which is three miles away with a very similar, diverse community.
