The Perse is one of the country’s leading co-educational independent day schools, providing a high quality education to pupils aged 3 – 18 in Cambridge. 

The Perse Upper School is looking to appoint an experienced outdoor instructor with the skills and qualifications to manage and deliver group training programmes and trips within the Outdoor Pursuits Department. The post holder will also support the wider delivery of the overall programme of curricular and extra-curricular sessions and trips. The role will be divided between planning and administration, communication and staff/pupil/volunteer management and instruction.

As Head of Climbing the post holder will line manage all areas of climbing across the Outdoor Pursuits provision. The role includes maintenance and monitoring of the extensive range of climbing equipment and PPE, staff/volunteer training, pupil instruction and oversight of the Climbing Club programme of sessions and trips. It is also expected that the Head of Climbing will play a leading role in the delivery of climbing as an option in the Games programme.
