Priory Group are looking to recruit an Outreach Tutor to work in Norfolk and Suffolk. Whether you're a Qualified Teacher, Unqualified Teacher, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Teaching Assistant (TA), Home Tutor, Learning Mentor or Support Worker, we would like to hear from you.

We work with children and young people between the age of 8 through to 18 with an Education Healthcare Plan that have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including; SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) ASD and ADHD. 

The successful candidate will be working within the children's home as an Outreach Tutor and will be expected to develop a good rapport with our children and young people in order to support them effectively with their learning.  Excellent understanding of special educational needs is essential to this role.  You will be dynamic and proactive and have strong behaviour management skills. 

Your role will involve:-

  • Tutoring children to ensure they have a good understanding of the subject matter along with developing life skills.  Subjects will include Maths and English
  • Sourcing lesson subject matter and writing weekly reports for your pupil
  • Supporting the process of returning students to our specialist provision as soon as is practical
  • Delivering tuition in student's homes, community centres and libraries.
