Kings’ School is seeking an outstanding PE teacher with a passion for Swim. The successful candidate will join an outstanding department with a proven reputation for excellence across the UAE.

The department is superbly resourced, with extensive facilities that support a wide range of sports and extra-curricular activities. Sport is a major part of student life at Kings’ and the successful candidate will be expected to devote time both before and after school, as well as the occasional weekend, to running clubs and competitive teams.

This is a superb opportunity for an aspiring, imaginative and inspirational teacher to join a highly innovative team. You will be supported by a Head of Primary PE and a Director of Sport with exacting standards and expectations of the team.

Person Specification     

• A high-quality degree with Physical Education, Outdoor Education, Sports Science or a related subject as the sole or significant focus;    
• Qualified Teacher Status;   
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at Primary level;   
• Energy, vigour, perseverance, stamina and resilience;   
• Proven track record of developing school swim teams and/or programmes;   
• Able to deliver high quality, innovative and exciting lessons tailored to the needs of the students in front of you and the vision for learning set out by the school/department;   
• Evidence of success in raising achievement and bringing about improvement;   
• An exceptional, collaborative, inspirational practitioner with demonstrated ability to build positive working relationships;   
• A commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of all students within their care;    
• Able and willing to make a broader contribution to school life, support school programmes of health, fitness and hygiene education;       
• Ability to use data to enhance learning outcomes.
