DBS Emirates Hills Curriculum
Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.
Recruiting - Sports Coach - Netball Specialist
At DBSEH, we are looking to appoint enthusiastic and committed individuals ware always who are experienced in supporting the National Curriculum for England in the UK; with additional experience in an international setting considered an advantage.
Aside from experience, personality is very important, we look for inspirational practitioners who leave a lasting impression on students for years to follow. If you're able to demonstrate outstanding standards of education and learning, with a passionate, enthusiastic, creative and dynamic attitude then we want to hear from you!
Role Responsibilities
- Organize, plan, and deliver Early Morning Sports Club sessions (6:40 - 7:45 AM) and After-School training sessions (2:30 - 4:30 PM), along with matches and fixtures until late.
- Assisting with the delivery of younger years' PE and Swim Lessons.
- Being able to take Sports Squads in the following Sports would be an advantage: Netball, Volleyball, Rugby, Basketball.
- Maintaining good order and discipline among the students being coached.
- Participating in departmental meetings.
- Participating in administrative and organisational tasks to ensure the smooth running of the department, responsibilities include but are not limited to social media and video/photography of fixtures and matches.
- Working collaboratively to support teachers in curriculum delivery.
- Carrying out other tasks as reasonably directed by the Head of Department.
- Being supportive of UAE initiatives and cultural expectations.
Professional Requirements
- Essential - Relevant coaching qualifications.
- A degree in relevant subject area would be considered an advantage.
- An individual with confidence and a proven track record of outstanding results as a Coach with the ability to demonstrate outstanding practice and progress of students.
- Ability to evidence enthusiasm about sport and be able to convey this to students.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Actively keeps up to date with the developments in their field.
- Has a willingness to develop as a professional, taking opportunities to train further within the department, or outside to progress in their career.
- Cleared Police and Safeguarding Background Checks*.
