We are seeking to appoint a part time teacher of SEN covering maternity leave of the academy’s Humanities Nurture Group teacher (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). The successful candidate will teach Humanities to the academy’s two Nurture Groups in Year 7 and Year 8 and literacy interventions. Each class has ten students who have either an Educational Health and Care Plan or a SEN Support Plan. In addition, two Teaching Assistants support the classes in all lessons.

In March 2017 Rye Hills became part of Nunthorpe Multi Academy Trust which evolved from Nunthorpe Academy, a local outstanding academy.  With the growth of Nunthorpe Multi Academy Trust, Rye Hills is at an exciting point in its development.  Successful candidates will have a wealth of opportunities to support this growth and raise standards, with the added opportunities being part of a multi-academy trust allows.  Rye Hills is a popular 11-16 comprehensive school, with approximately 900 students on roll.  The school is situated on an attractive, modern site on the outskirts of Redcar, in the North East of England.
