Bohunt School Wokingham (BSW) is looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative individual with an excellent track record of school improvement and impact as a skilful leader. The school opened in September 2016 with Year 7, and has grown to a roll of 1200 students, aged 11-16, with a sixth form now confirmed to open in 2023.

The South of England based Bohunt Educational Trust has evolved from Bohunt School in Hampshire, rated Outstanding in every category by Ofsted and was the TES School of the Year 2014. The growing Trust currently comprises 8 schools, and is part of both the HISP teaching school alliance and Wokingham Secondary Federation of Schools.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding administrator to support the work of our Head of School. You will need to be organised, able to work under pressure and have first-class admin skills including typing and a pleasant telephone manner. 

This role provides vital confidential administrative and secretarial support to the Head of School. Please see full job description for further details.

Bohunt School Wokingham opened its doors to Year 7 pupils in 2016. Having grown substantially since then, we are now heavily oversubscribed, with a school roll of 1200 students aged 11-16. With the exciting announcement of our expansion to include a sixth form and additional spaces in all year groups, we will soon see more students through to 18.

Our ethos of ‘enjoy, respect, achieve’ underpins our vision to give all students an outstanding education and develop skills in the classroom and beyond. These core values help our students flourish throughout their school career, and on into later life. Reflective of the success achieved in its first three years, Ofsted recognised that the “overall educational experience for many pupils at the school is ‘life-changing’.”

Our new site has been designed and built with education at the forefront and includes specialist teaching spaces and a whole school one to one iPad provision, as well a wide range of sports and extra-curricular provision. We are leaders in outdoor education with an outdoor classroom, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and Big Expeditions to wilderness locations, alongside a variety of other trips at home and abroad.

We are part of the supportive and innovative Bohunt Education Trust, a MAT with eight schools including two Sixth Forms and a boarding facility. We may be separated geographically, however, all BET schools are student centred, sharing an uncompromising belief in high achievement and unconditional positive expectations, a real sense of community and a dynamic, innovative approach to education.
