We are seeking to appoint a PA to the Headteacher. The successful candidate will provide high quality HR and administrative support to the Headteacher, assisting with recruitment and managing all HR matters. This role also involves line management of the office so experience of managing staff would be useful. Some flexibility in hours would be required to accommodate school events.
The successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a variety of audiences. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an office environment is essential. Experience of working in a school in a support role and knowledge of and ability to produce basic reports from SIMs or other database would be desirable.
Coombe Boys’ is a popular and highly successful non-selective 11 – 18 school that is federated with its partner girls’ school to comprise the Coombe Secondary Schools Academy Trust, based in New Malden, Surrey. Coombe Boys’ has approximately 800 students on roll, including a mixed sixth form.

Coombe Boys’ School is a comprehensive secondary school offering a broad and balanced curriculum to local boys aged 11-16. We also have a mixed sixth form run in close collaboration with Coombe Girls’ School. There are approximately 1100 students on roll including the sixth form. The school has held academy status since 2012, as part of the Coombe Academy Trust (CAT) which also incorporates Coombe Girls’ School, Knollmead Primary School, Green Lane Primary & Nursery School, and Robin Hood Primary & Nursery School. The school is based in New Malden close to the A3 and with Motspur Park station within 8 minutes walking distance.
