Hours:  37 per week – full time

Thomas Aveling is a successful, popular, mixed secondary school with experienced and committed staff and well behaved and motivated students.  We seek to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and hardworking person to this prestigious role.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Provide a high quality PA service to the Headteacher, with first class secretarial and ICT skills 

• Thrive within a busy environment and demonstrate excellent organisational skills 

• Respond positively and sensitively to the varied demands of the post, including maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality when dealing with student and staff issues

• Demonstrate a high level of written and oral communication skills

• Communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences including parents, staff and outside agencies

Previous PA experience or work within a school environment would be advantageous.

About The Thomas Aveling School

The Thomas Aveling School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form situated in Rochester, Kent. It is an academy converter supported by a multi-academy trust called Fort Pitt Thomas Aveling Academies Trust, which supports four other schools around the country. The school will provide 1,080 places for secondary and sixth-form students between the ages of 11 and 18 when fully subscribed.

Previously a Technology College and Training School, Thomas Aveling converted to an academy in September 2011.
