PA to the Assistant Heads

We are looking for an organised and professional individual to provide personal assistance to the academic and pastoral Assistant Heads on a full-time basis during term time (plus 180 hours of additional non-term time support).

As the PA to the Assistant Heads, your role will be a varied one. Key duties include:

  • Assisting with maintaining the Assistant Heads’ electronic diaries.
  • Attending and minuting meetings as required.
  • Assisting with typing of correspondence.
  • Assisting with the administration around Academic and Pastoral recruitment, including working with the HR Recruitment Consultants.
  • Drafting responses on behalf of the Assistant Heads to telephone, postal, email and face-to-face enquiries.

To be successful in this position, previous experience in a PA role is essential, including experience of diary management, use of the full Microsoft package, producing internal and external comms, and communicating with individuals at all levels. 

Whilst training can be provided, desirable skills include mail merge, data manipulation, PowerPoint and Microsoft Forms. 

The exact hours of work are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, during term time with an additional 180 hours to be worked in the school holidays. Non-term time hours can we worked flexibly with the possibility of some remote working. In the case of emergency situations, occasional evening or weekend work may be needed. For such events, you will receive time off in lieu. 

The full-time equivalent salary for this position is £27,000 per annum. This is pro-rated for part-year working.
