Do you have extensive administration and PA experience? We are currently looking to appoint a diligent and organised PA to support and oversee diary management for the Principal of Harris Girls' Academy Bromley.

You will also act as Clerk to Governors at Harris Girls' Academy Bromley and Harris Academy Orpington.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Your role will include:

  • Administration and diary management for the Principal, including acting as the first line of contact between the Principal and any phone calls and requests from staff or visitors, and managing all communications from the Principal to employees;
  • Supporting HR processes files, including payroll, administration of performance appraisal documentation,managing the recruitment process for new staff and assisting with the accuracy of the Single Central Record;
  • Supporting the Harris Federation Finance Business Partner, including managing and maintaining administrative systems and overseeing and implementing financial processes;
  • Acting as Clerk to Governors for Harris Girls' Academy Bromley and Harris Academy Orpington, maintaining efficient procedures for meetings and offering advice where required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Appropriate degree or equivalent level of education
  • Trained in the use of a variety of ICT packages
  • Knowledge of personal assistant roles and responsibilities
  • Training in typing and formatting of a variety of documents including spreadsheets
  • At least 2 years working in school or other educational establishment
  • Working in an inner city school or with inner city students
  • Experience of managing staff in relation to the PA role
  • Some experience of human resources e.g. recruitment and/or monitoring attendance
  • Experience of working to targets and deadlines
  • Experience of managing meetings including preparation and circulation of papers, minutes and ensuring information is circulated as required
  • Experience of managing diaries at a high level, including communication with a range of audiences.
  • Experience of managing high profile events
  • Experience of developing policies, processes and procedures
