Job overview

The Personal Assistant to the Principal & Academic Secretary (PA) is the lead member of the Core Administration Team and has a key function at the campus. The role requires effective and clear communication skills and the ability to prioritise effectively and calmly. The PA is a main point of contact within and across the school and must project the positive ethos of the school at all times. The PA should help maintain a positive and collaborative working environment within the Core Administration Team, the wider school community and external agencies.

This is a temporary position to cover a period of maternity leave. It is envisaged that the current postholder will return to work in April 2020.

Some of the essential qualities needed for this role are:

– Outstanding interpersonal and presentational skills

– A dynamic, proactive and energetic personality and approach to professional life

– Natural inclination to take initiative and be proactive

– Very high motivation and work ethic

– Excellent written and oral communication skills

Some of the preferable qualities for this role are:

– Experience working in a school environment (preferably an international school)

– An ability to learn fast and absorb information quickly

– Very good IT skills

– A willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school

About the Hampstead campus

The Hampstead campus offers the PYP for students ranging in age from 3 to 11 and has children from almost 40 different nationalities.
