An experienced and enthusiastic educator is required to join the Functional Skills team working within Richard Huish College.
The successful candidate would be expected to deliver, and help develop, a flexible curriculum for Functional Skills Maths & English, up to Level 2. The focus will be on apprentices, pre-apprentices and some BTEC students. The ability to deliver in more than one subject area would be a distinct advantage.
A proven record of successful learner results, an ability to track student progress and good administration skills are essential for this post. The successful applicant should own a clean driving licence and will need access to own car as there will be an expectation for delivery of the functional skills to be off campus. The majority of teaching in this post will be through one to one delivery, so classroom experience is not essential.
A flexible and responsive approach to work is essential. Hours 16.2 per week (0.5) Fixed term until September 2018 To start as soon as possible.
Salary: £26,069 pro rata
