LEEDS COLLEGE OF BUILDING  

PART-TIME CATERING ASSISTANT (TERM TIME ONLY)

Ref: 0043  

Hours:  20 hrs per week, 38 weeks per year (7am – 11am) 

Salary: £6,873.78 to £7,406.88  

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our Refectory team at Leeds College of Building.  You will be required to work flexibly across both sites North Street and Hunslet Campus.   

Duties of this role include basic food preparation, ensuring the kitchen and all refectory areas are kept clean/safe, operating a till/handling cash and serving food in a polite, professional and friendly manner to all customers.   

Experience of working in a fast paced environment is essential.  

You must have a Food Safety Level 2 certificate , relevant and recent experience of working in a catering environment together with excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills.   Knowledge of basic food hygiene regulations/standards and experience of using kitchen equipment is essential.    

You should also be customer focused and be quality driven as well as being punctual and reliable.
