Thorpe Hall is a non-selective co-educational day school of 460 students from pre-nursery to Year 11. The school is situated on a generous site on the outskirts of Southend-on-Sea and has an excellent reputation as one of the leading independent schools in the area.

We are looking for a well-qualified, ambitious and enthusiastic Part-time English Teacher to join our successful English department to teach Key Stages 3 and 4. Our English department currently consists of 3 full-time and one part-time teachers. The successful applicant must have proven ability and experience in teaching up to Key Stage 4.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join this happy, developing and innovative school. The role would suit an enthusiastic, hardworking and passionate individual who wishes to share their drive and motivation with young people.

Thorpe Hall School is a co-educational, non-selective, independent school located in Southend, Essex. An all-through school providing places to children aged 2-16, Thorpe Hall School was founded in 1925 and has occupied its current 11-acre site since 1989.

Set in 11 acres of semi-rural land, the school's facilities are numerous and include a state-of the art sports and events centre, a Forest School area, a theatre, an extensive sports field, a dedicated music department and a design technology area. With around 450 pupils, Thorpe Hall is a day school only and has no boarding facilities.
