Nelson and Colne College Group is a beacon for educational excellence, made up of a family of colleges – Nelson & Colne College, Lancashire Adult Learning & Accrington & Rossendale College. We are looking for highly motivated and dedicated PTHP Lecturer to join our Higher Education team on a part-time basis working to 21 hours.
Providing outstanding ESOL sessions to students, primarily out in a company setting within Burnley, the successful candidate will be an innovative practitioner looking for a new and exciting opportunity. Working around 15 hours per week, with learners from entry level 3 up to level 2, it’s imperative that the successful candidate is able to work very flexibly in order to accommodate the needs of our client.
The role will be based at both our sites at Nelson and Colne College and Accrington and Rossendale, therefore you will be required to travel to both sites.
The main duties include:
• Teaching on a variety of ESOL programmes (Entry level 2) initially working around 6 hours per week
• Planning and preparing high quality teaching and learning
• Assisting students to reach their potential, and exceed their expectations
The ideal candidate will:
• Have previous teaching experience, ideally within a Post-16 setting (desirable)
• Have appropriate industrial/vocational experience
• Have a relevant teaching qualification, or be looking to work towards this

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms.
Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
